Butternut squash is a very versatile ingredient. You can make purees, mix it with pasta, make a quiche or a casserole…The only downside of butternut squash is that itâ€™s hard to peel and to cut into. But once you made it past those prep steps, itâ€™s all goodness. In this article, I will show you how to make a butternut squash soup following the low histamine diet guidelines.
Kale, Carrot and Apple low histamine smoothie
- 7 fl oz water
- 1 cup chopped kale
- 2 carrots
- 1 apple
- 1/2 inch fresh ginger
Remove kale stems and chop.
Slice the apples, carrots and ginger into blender friendly pieces.
Place ingredients into the blender starting with kale, then carrots, then apple, ginger and then water.
Puree until smooth, about a minute or so.
