Nomato sauce recipe

  • 6 carrots, peeled and diced
  • 1 beet, peeled and diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 celery ribs, diced
  • 1 1⁄2 cups water
  • 2 Tsp Oregano
  • 1 Tsp Garlic powder
  • Olive oil


  1. Boil beet for 10 minutes, then strain and leave on the side.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the oil over moderate heat and add diced onion and garlic until soft and translucent.
  3. Add in all the remaining ingredients and stir. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer until carrots are tender.
  4. Use a blender or food processor to puree the mixture until desired consistency.
  5. In a frying pan, brown both sides of the turkey steaks, about 3 minutes per side. Add nomato sauce in the pan to coat your turkey. Let simmer for 1 or 2 minutes.
  6. Serve scattered on pasta and sprinkle with basil.
